As a symbol of our beauty industry, the new Cosmoprof trophy is made of a glass bubble, expressing delicacy, elegance, design and craftmanship, and a metal base, conveying the essential scientific and technical approach of beauty.
The metal piece raises and highlights the glass piece, creating a luxurious object. This interaction is illustrating the essential exchanges between the packaging industry and the bulk industry, this collective intelligence offering the most glamourous and effective beauty products.
This new Cosmoprof award expresses the strength of gathering complementary expertises, through an original idea created by a beauty product design agency and sculpted by a glass artist.
The bubble is blown in glass by the artist, and its precise silhouette depends on the craftsman breath, offering a precious artistic variability while keeping a collection unity. As each winner has a specific value, each award is unique!
As a signature object, this trophy will become the icon of the Cosmoprof event and a famous reward demonstrating the excellence of each winner. According to the 3 different categories, the glass piece has a specific finish and look. In this way, these unique trophies should galvanize the beauty industry to create the most exciting products in order to get the greatest Cosmoprof award collection.
Discover how the trophy was produced
Centdegrés and MMB have collaborated to manufacture the Cosmoprof and Cosmopack awards.
MMB is an industrial craftsman, taking advantage of digital, manual and automatic technologies to meet their client’s requirements. MMB is able to work through all phases of a project; at the early phase to accompany the client in the creative stage and at the later stage by producing very realistic models.
Centdegrés and MMB worked hand in hand using MMB technological and manual know-how to create the award as a whole: from glass pieces (with glass-blower partner Luigi Dei Rossi, Italian born craftsman based in France, perpetuating his family passion for glass) to pedestal machining, colorimetry testing to award painting.
The models that MMB realize require a true dexterity and their equipment (fleet of cutting-edge machines that allows them to perform machining, digitization, vacuum counter-typing, additive metal fabrication, stereo lithography, etc) allows them to manufacture both unique pieces and series.
