LastRound Pro

Suitable to remove highly pigmented nail polish or make-up, LastRound Pro is a reusable alternative to single-use cotton pads. The reusable pads have been developed over a number of years to be used on products with high levels of pigments while resisting staining. The pads are made from 30% short cotton fibers, a surplus material that cannot be used for clothing, and 70% wood fiber. After use, they can be machine washed in a laundry bag. The pads’ case, meanwhile, is made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic. The seven reusable pads replace over 1,750 single use cotton pads, and according to LastObject’s third-party validated analysis, compared to single use cotton pads, the LastRound Pro reduces carbon footprint by 90%, water consumption by 92%, and the amount of land used by 99%, making the product 24 times better for the environment.

What sets your product apart and why is it innovative?
According to WWF (World Wildlife Fund), it takes 10.000 liters of water to produce 1000 (0,5 kg) regular cotton rounds, this makes cotton production the largest user of water among all agricultural commodities. In other words single-use cotton rounds are a bad idea. When making a reusable round we didn’t just want it to feel like a piece of cloth, it had to feel like a single-use cotton round, so after years of testing & prototyping we finally found the right material. Dip the rounds in water and they will magically transform into soft cotton rounds. We have set a new higher standard for reusable rounds and by doing this we are helping to eliminate single-use rounds by showing there’s a great alternative to single-use.
