The Globes - Gummy Soap

Stand Number: D19 Hall: 15

These single-use face cleansing gummies are solid soaps activated when applied to wet skin, transforming into rinse-off foam. Created from 99% natural ingredients, the soaps are presented in two different formulations – the orange gummy is infused with orange blossom floral water and an orange flower scent, while the yellow gummy contains an argan scent, helichrysum flower extract to combat the effects of environmental stress, and ginkgo biloba extract with antioxidant, sebum-regulating, and toning properties. The globes are hot-poured into a clamshell-like packaging, and heat sealed with an aluminum cover that’s designed so the two gummies can be opened on separate occasions. Among their eco-friendly ingredients is a mild, non-ionic surfactant made entirely from renewables; a polysaccharide produced by fermentation used as a film-forming agent; and a jellifying agent and natural polysaccharide for a rich, smooth texture.

Winner of Make Up Formula

Stand Number: A16-B15 Hall: 15

Cryolight is a hybrid powder with creamy, silky, and bouncy consistency, created via Omnicos Group’s patent pending nitrogen-boosted formulation process. The cold temperature of the liquid nitrogen results in the powder’s sensoriality, while using liquid nitrogen also saves energy in production, in contrast to energy-intensive baking processes, thus reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption. The powder contains a mix of emollient esters to offer a silky touch, while its combination of synthetic and natural waxes act as emollients and film-forming agents to provide structure and plasticity to the product. The formulation also encompasses a high concentration of different sized pearlescent pigments for luminosity, and two texturizing powders for a smooth application and blendability.

FR.Handly Kit

Stand Number: A15-A20 Hall: 18

This kit exhibits a number of different packaging solutions that brands can employ to make their cosmetic products more accessible to consumers with mobility difficulties. Among the kit’s components is Soft Prehension, a PP container with a soft-touch finish for an ergonomic opening. The container is printed with CyR.U.S. raised symbols, which help those who are visually impaired to understand the product. The Adaptive Sleeve is a brush handle that is sensitive to pressure, making it easy to grab for those with prosthetics or limited finger mobility; Grip & Glow is a silicone or rubber component that enhances the user’s grip, helping with stability and making it easier for those with limited grip to pick up a product; and Infinite Ring is a silicone, rubber, or elastomer accessory designed for single-finger manipulation, with wings for use with the mouth or teeth to aid positioning. The elements of the kit feature a ball-and-socket joint for easy adjustment and modular, interchangeable components that attach to products with magnets.

Winner of Hair Care Formula

Stand Number: A14-B9 Hall: 15

This solid format is intended to style both hair and brows, offering control without feeling sticky or looking oily, all in a tactile, user-friendly format. Created as an egg-shaped, solid wax, the product glides on easily and can be used to set frizzy or flyaway hairs, or to fix unruly brows. The wax comes in a transparent version for an invisible, glossed finish, and in a pearlized version to provide an iridescent effect visible under lights, enhancing hair’s color and luminosity. The formula is waterless and contains over 85% natural origin ingredients. Composed of waxes with different melting points, the formula creates a spreadable yet long-lasting film, while a wax resin composite offers better adhesion, and castor seed oil cares for hair.

Winner of Innovation Technology

PlusSome’s skin delivery system spotlights cationic liposomes, whose surface has been modified to create a positive charge. This means that when they interact with the negative charge present on the skin’s surface, it creates an electrostatic attraction. This attraction allows for improved absorption by the skin of the active ingredients encapsulated in the liposomes. Alongside improving the active ingredients’ absorption, PlusSome improves the actives’ efficacy, thus maximizing their impact. To create cationic liposomes, Cosmax has used chitosan, a cationic polymer derived from non-animal mushrooms. This makes the ingredient vegan-compliant and minimizes skin irritation. PlusSome can be integrated into a range of skin care and hair care products.

Winner of Sustainability

Wasabi Flavone™

Stand Number: A45 Hall: 20

Developed as an anti-aging ingredient for skin care, hair care, and scalp care, Wasabi FlavoneTM is a wasabi leaf extract from the Wasabia japonica plant, specifically a component called isosaponarin. This ingredient is particularly effective on the hair and scalp, acting to reduce dandruff, redness, and sebum on the scalp, and combatting hair fall and encouraging hair growth. The extract is derived from upcycled wasabi crops that would otherwise be disposed of, thus improving the product’s sustainability. The process also removes the spicy element of wasabi, reducing irritation. The ingredient is claimed to show three times the hair papilla cell-stimulating effect compared to Adenosine and Minoxidil. The brand’s clinical tests also show that the ingredient reduced hair loss by 90%.
