Naïf Mineral Sunscreen Spray SPF50 0% perfume for Baby & Kids offers immediate high UVA and UVB protection. We use a UV-filter based on Zinc Oxide (mineral), which adds a protective layer to the skin that reflects sunbeams. This way, the sunscreen is effective immediately and the risk of skin irritation is minimal. We know that applying sunscreen with impatient little ones can be quite a struggle. Therefore we are proud to have developed our mineral sunscreen in a spray variant to make sun protection easier. Naïf sunprotection is coral-friendly and does not contain any microplastics.

What sets your product apart and why is it innovative?
By the age of 50, your skin still remembers the sunbeams as you were two years old. We believe in setting a good base for a little one's skin during the first 1000 days of its lifetime. By offering good suncare, that not only protects the baby's skin from UV radiation but also by doing this with ingredients that can't do any harm to their future. Leaving out hormone disruptors for example, or ingredients that can cause skin irritation or have an impact on their future environment like the ocean. Naïf Mineral Sunscreen Spray SPF50 0% perfume protects the skin with a UV filter based on the mineral Zinc Oxide. This adds a protective layer to the skin that reflects sunbeams. This way, the sunscreen is effective immediately and the risk of skin irritation is minimal. By making a spray variant, we believe it's easier for parents to apply sunscreen and therefore the child's skin is better protected. However, a nice mineral spray isn’t the easiest product to make. Zinc Oxide is thick. We are happy to succeed!
How do you promote your product on multiple channels?
Shadow first, Naïf second - is our marketing message for the coming year. We've partnered up with a healthcare organization to create awareness about the importance of shadow. Since it's our mission to help all parents take good care without worry, we believe that there are more ways to protect yourself from the sun. Seeking shade for example. Stay away from the sun within set times. Don't forget to apply sunscreen on the most common missed spots on the body. Wear a shirt and a hat. Our marketing campaign is built on education around sunny moments through our channels and offering good products with good ingredients. We also actively engage in bringing shadow and Naïf closer. We will do this on different levels. In-store shelf communication on a product level, for example, explaining more about the ingredients in suncare. With blog articles, podcasts and Instagram Live videos and Q&A's with dermatologists. But also with a nice song for kids to apply sunscreen while dancing to it. And shadow spots in high-traffic locations (amusement parks for example). We have 3 goals: 1. To kick off with a buzz, we introduce drones with sunblocks to make our campaign go viral. 2. We want to facilitate shade and show families we really help them. 3. We want to reach kids and educate them (teach them young) in a fun/Naïf way with our song in combination with a diploma to distribute through KDV’s, social and possibly trade Next to that we also want to change the industry, by shining some light on the shady business of sunscreen. Within this context, we mean the ingredients that are still used in a lot of sunscreens which are harmful to the skin and the environment.

How does your product meet the evaluation criteria of its category?
This product is a mineral baby & kids sun spray, dedicated to their sensitive skin. It has no alcohol and no perfume so that their delicate skin is protected from damaging UV.
What is you brand commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and social responsibility? Please describe.
Naïf Care was born 10 years ago from two fathers who desired to make a better world for their baby and their baby’s baby. This is still our mission today! From the ingredients, carefully selected to be as natural as possible, vegan, and soft for the skin, to our packaging, either from bio-sourced or recycled plastic, and fully recyclable, we want to reduce our impact on the planet as much as possible. Recently, we introduced Life Cycle Assessments for all our products to measure our carbon footprint, from our sourcing to our final consumers. With this approach, we constantly innovate to reduce products' environmental impact. In 2020, we got our first B Corp certification, where we demonstrated our willingness to run our business sustainably and to use it as a force for good. We value our workers, with an inclusive and diverse environment, and we establish strong relationships with our suppliers, partners and customers to build a sustainable, transparent and ethical supply chain. We just got recertified, with an improved score of 112.9, reflecting the improvements done in all aspects of our business.
