This two-step formula – composed of a hair essence lotion and a finishing spray – counteracts the excess of negative charge seen in damaged hair, that can make it difficult for positively charged ingredients to penetrate. To address this, the formula bypasses surface charge interference to penetrate the hair fiber. This is thanks to Corelink-S, a proprietary hair bonding material co-developed with Cosmax’s partners, which penetrates the hair shaft to reconnect broken bonds, repairing from within. Corelink-S is engineered to bypass interference from damaged hair’s negatively charged exterior, allowing for deep internal penetration. Then, once inside the hair shaft, the ingredient’s controlled reduction in pH activates a charge conversion mechanism, allowing the actives to reconnect broken cystine bonds, improving hair’s tensile strength and resilience. The result is visibly stronger, more elastic, and healthier-looking hair.
