3D MAXX Patch for Atopic Skin
Designed to treat atopic skin, this patch is composed of a biomimetic nanofibrous matrix of hyaluronic acid and pullulan, a combination that mimics the skin’s own extracellular matrix to soothe, hydrate, and restore the skin barrier. An alternative to creams or hydrogel patches, the patch forms a 200 nm biomimetic scaffold that, as it replicates the skin’s extracellular matrix, enhances skin adhesion, absorption of the active ingredients, and barrier recovery. The patches’ innovation lies in transforming hyaluronic acid and pullulan into a new delivery treatment platform for sensitive skin. Among the patches’ ingredients are pullulan; hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid; niacinamide; hydrogenated lecithin; and ceramide EOP. In clinical trials, the patches reduced the skin condition erythema by 13% after one hour of use, while the scoring of eczema reduced by 8.9 points after 14 days of use, and by 12.5 points after 28 days of use.
